RULES OF RELEASES
1. We release only well trained, well cared for White Doves from white racing pigeon stock.
2. Dove releases will only be done during daylight hours. Doves do not fly at night.
3. Doves will not be released during inclement weather.
4. Doves will not be released beyond a range that they are able to safely fly. We prefer to release not over 50 miles of their home.
5. We never ship birds for self release.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. How do they know where their home is?
These particular birds are bred and trained to return to their own loft. They have a natural instinct to find their own way home. They can find their way home from as far as 500 miles, but we choose to keep our birds within 50 miles from their home.
2. How are they trained to come home?
They are handled and trained at a very young age. They start with very short distances and then move up to longer distances.
3. Can they be released inside?
Definitely not. The birds are not trained for indoor releases and cannot find the door to fly out of.
BOOKING CONDITIONS
1. A deposit of $50.00 is to be paid to secure the date. Until that deposit is placed, the event is not booked.
2. Any cancellation more than one month before the event date, a full refund will given.
3. Any cancellation less than one month before the event date, the deposit of $50.00 will not be returned.
4. We reserve the right to cancel a dove release due to inclement weather such as rain, fog, high wind or any other acts of nature that will possibly harm the birds. A full refund will be given.
5. Birds will not be released at night. They must be released at least one hour prior to sunset. No refund will be given if the release is not one hour prior to sunset and we cancel the release, so the birds are not in harms way.
6. Releases must take place within 45 minutes of scheduled time.
7. We have the right to take pictures of the release and use them in our advertising. In exchange, we will provide you with one copy of any photo that you ask for.
8. In case of change of venue, the new venue must still be within a 50 mile radius of the birds home. If the venue has moved out of our area, the $50.00 deposit is not refundable.
